Power button
From SpinetiX Support Wiki
Introduction
The power button is multi-functional, allowing performing different operations depending on how long it is pressed and whether the player is powered on or powered off during that time. Some examples of such operations are: trigger On Screen Display (OSD), restart the player, shut down the player, reset to factory default settings, force Recovery mode. Depending on the player model, the timings to perform a certain operation might be different, as detailed below.
On the HMPs and DiVA players, the power button is more frequently referred to as the blue button because of its distinctive color.
iBX players
The player's power button can be used to restart the player after it has been shut down, but also:
- Briefly press (max 1s) and release it to trigger the On-Screen Display (OSD) showing the player addresses, firmware version, DSOS license type (if any), and other player identification information.
- Double-press it or hold it for 3 seconds to trigger a shutdown of the device.
- You should wait for 10–15 seconds for the player to completely shut down (no video signal is displayed), then you can safely unplug the power supply.
- To restart the player, briefly press the power button.

- If you hold it for about 10 seconds, it will trigger a "hard" shutdown, which is equivalent to a power cycle in the system logs.

- Holding the button pressed for more than 30 seconds has no effect; this is to avoid cases when the button is pressed due to bad positioning.
- You should wait for 10–15 seconds for the player to completely shut down (no video signal is displayed and the PWR LED is slowly blinking red ), then you can safely unplug the power supply.
