From SpinetiX Support Wiki
A widget is a small "application" with specific functionality that can be easily included into an Elementi project - for instance to display a clock, a scrolling RSS feed, some tweets, Instagram images, the content of a spreadsheet, some interactive buttons, to send a command to the screen etc.
A widget offers different parameters / properties that the user can change from the interface, thus allowing for further customization of the widget functionality without having to modify the code behind.
Elementi built-in widgets
Elementi software comes with a lot of free resources to be used inside your projects; these resources are accessible under the "Widgets" / "Library" tab within the Browse panel. The content inside varies depending on the Elementi version in use - for more details see the following dedicated pages:

How to modify the built-in widgets
The original widgets included into the built-in library cannot be modified by the user - they can however be used as a base for new widgets. To create a modified version of a widget, follow these steps:
- Open the "Widgets" / "Library" tab and select the widget to modify.
- Copy it to the clipboard (CTRL+C, or using the toolbar icons) and paste it into the current project.
- Edit the widget according to your needs.
- Save the changes.
The following widgets are available as a separate download from the Wiki:
