Elementi GUI
Graphical User Interface
Languages
Elementi is available in different languages, such as: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Russian, Dutch, Hungarian, Portuguese, Arabic, Hebrew, Japanese, Thai and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional).
To change the language, open Menu > Settings > Language and select the language you want.
Panels

Elementi GUI is composed of a functional toolbar and three main panels:
- Browse panel
- For resources and devices management and project publishing.
- Edit panel
- For editing the SVG content.
- When opening a calendar file, this panel turns into the Calendar panel.
- Preview panel
- For visualizing the content before publishing it on the HMP (including full screen preview), editing layers position, testing interactive content and more.
The toolbar is fixed at the top of the GUI, while the size of the panels can be adjusted by dragging the horizontal and / or vertical panel separators. The Browse panel can be positioned under the Preview panel or under the Edit panel, according to the orientation setting (Menu > View > Orientation).
Toolbar
The toolbar contains the application general menu and shortcut buttons for different actions that are present in contextual right-click menus. In some cases, some of these buttons might be disabled (grayed out). Starting from left to right, the following buttons are included:
|
|
|
- Delete Layer
- Add Text Layer
- Add Media Layer
- Add Streaming Layer
- Add Web Page Layer
- Add Video Input Layer
- Schedule Media
- Document Properties
- Leave

The application menu is opened by clicking the first button on the main toolbar. It provides access to project-level commands, file operations, editing tools, view options, application settings, help resources, and exit controls.
The available entries depend on the current context. For example, some commands are enabled only when a project, device, document, or specific panel is selected.
Some entries are preceded by an arrow (▶), meaning that a contextual menu with further items is opened; others are preceded by three dots (…), meaning that a popup dialog is opened. In some cases, a key combination (e.g., Ctrl+X) is available to trigger that command.
| Menu | Entries | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Projects |
|
Contains commands for creating, opening, configuring, publishing, and archiving Elementi projects. You can also add custom fonts or export a multiscreen project configuration. Most commands in this section are available only when a project is opened or selected. Use this menu to manage the project as a whole, rather than individual files inside the project. |
| Devices |
|
Contains commands for managing Elementi-compatible players and Publish Locations. These commands are mainly used from the Devices tab in the Browse panel. They allow users to add new devices or publish locations, edit existing entries, open Control Center, and export device-related information. |

These commands are useful when editing project content, checking document properties, viewing the source of supported files, or opening the project's location directly in the operating system file explorer. | |

These options are used to manage user roles and edit user-specific properties, depending on the configured environment and available permissions. |

Troubleshooting
Drag & drop issues
Some running programs might interfere with the drag & drop functionality within Elementi GUI. See this section for more details.
Large text labels
Starting with Elementi 2016, the application is "DPI Aware" to run correctly on high resolution monitors; while better support for high DPI (4K) displays was added in Elementi 2018. But before, the text labels might appear larger than normal on high resolution screens due to Windows text scaling. To overcome this, you need to do the following changes in your Windows account:
- Change resolution from 4K to Full HD.
- Change text scale to 100%.
- Log out and then log back into your user account.
