SPX Messenger

The SPX Messenger application has been deprecated and it will no longer be maintained, part of its features being included in the Developer Console of Elementi X 3.1.

Description

The SPX Messenger application was designed to help testing the Network API of the Shared Variables mechanism, by exposing the following features:

• Add / remove a Shared Variable (can be either local or remote shared variable) to receive its latest value (which is automatically refreshed when it is updated).
• Modify a shared variable value (this will send an update command to the host server).
• Add / remove an Events Host (can be either local or remote host) to get the list of events generated by that host.
• Fire events (like keydown, mousemove, mouseup etc.) to the selected host.
• Start a shared variable server.

Versions

• HMD version

  This version is included by default in the Hyper Media Director installer; after installation, the application can be found in the SpinetiX folder included in the Start menu. The HMD installer can still be downloaded from SpinetiX website (the legacy section).

• Elementi version

  This version is not included by default in the Elementi installer (version 3.0.x), but an "extended" installer which includes it can be provided upon request.
