Get data from a database

Data from database management systems, like Oracle or SQL, can be displayed on the HMP, however an intermediary step is required because the HMP cannot execute queries on such database servers. The data must be made available as one of the data feed formats supported by the HMP, such as CSV, JSON, XML, text etc. - this can be done, for instance, through an HTTP interface / web-service, that can run queries on the database server and can return the results to the HMP using the above mentioned formats; alternatively, the data could be exported either manually, or in an automatic manner, from the database itself or using a third-party tool (like Simego).

Once the data is available in the right format, it can be displayed using one of the data-driven widgets.
