Transition

Description

A transition is an animation effect that happens when switching between items of a playlist or slideshow widget. For example, a cross-fade transition can be used in a playlist to fade-out of the current picture and then fade-in to the next one.

How to set a transition effect

To set a transition for the new / existing Elementi playlist, follow these steps:

1. Open the playlist and click the button from the toolbar. This opens the "Document Properties" dialog.
2. Click the button to open the "Transition Properties" dialog.
3. Select the transition effect using the icons on the "Transition" row. A preview of the transition effect is displayed above this line.
4. If available, further customize the transition effect using the icons on the Type and / or Direction rows.
5. Set the transition effect duration between 0 and 5 seconds using the slider or enter the desired value in the field.
6. Click the OK button to save the changes.

Note:

Random transitions must be avoided for multiscreen content, because the randomisation is done by each player with likely different results.

There are 38 transition effects included by default in Elementi, accessible from the "Transition Properties" dialog.

• Fade
  • Types: Crossfade, Fade to transparent, Fade to white, Fade to black.
• Slide
  • Directions: Left to right, Right to left, Top to bottom, Bottom to top, Random.
• Push
  • Directions: Left to right, Right to left, Top to bottom, Bottom to top, Random.
• Wipe
  • Types: Wipe bar (4 directions), Wipe box (8 directions), Wipe barn (2 directions), Wipe iris, Random.
• Page
• Flip
  • Directions: Horizontal, Vertical.
• Cube
  • Directions: Left to right, Right to left, Top to bottom, Bottom to top, Random.
• Zoom
  • Types: Light zoom, Regular zoom, Heavy zoom, Zoom forever.
• Random
