Template:GetStartedWidget

  1. Click the "Projects" tab in the Browse panel.
  2. Create a new Elementi project or open an existing one.
  3. The project's main index file is opened by default. If needed, open the file that should contain the widget.
  4. Click the "Widgets" tab in the Browse panel to find all the collections of widgets included with your Elementi version/type.

  5. Double-click the desired collection and find the widgets available for that data source.
  6. Select the widget that best fits how you want to present the data.
  7. Drag that widget from the Browse panel and drop it into the Edit panel (or the Preview panel) to create a new media layer within the opened document. The built-in widget is automatically copied into your project files.
  8. Double-click the widget's layer in the Edit panel to find its properties.
  9. Configure the widget's properties and layout to display your data.

Usage

This is a template listing the steps required to get started with a widget.

Parameter:

  • folder
    Use Spreadsheets, Media, Calendars, etc. Defaults to "desired".
  • href
    Wiki ref for the configuration link; defaults to "Edit_panel#Configure_widgets".
  • image1
    A full image syntax to replace the default [[File:Elementi_Widgets.png|border|right|350px|Elementi 2025 X widgets]]
  • image2
    A full image syntax to include after one above, for instance, a screenshot of the widgets inside the selected folder.
  • cloud
    Use a non-empty value (e.g., cloud=true) to add the mention of linking the project to a cloud account. Use cloud=optional when a cloud account is only optional.
  • widget
    The name of a widget to pick, such as “Power BI”. Optional.

Examples of use

1. With two images:

  1. Click the "Projects" tab in the Browse panel.
  2. Create a new Elementi project or open an existing one.

2. With a specified widget.
