Text effect widgets

Description

The text effect widgets can be used to improve the aspect of text content entered within Elementi interface, with effects like shadow, rotation, blur, glow etc. Different widget properties are provided to further customize the text effect.

These widgets were added in Elementi 3.1.0 Library under "Text Filters" folder, while in Elementi 2015 or later, they can be found under the "Text Effects" folder.

Text effect widgets

The following widgets are available:

• Drop Shadow

  Adds a drop shadow effect on the text. The blur & distance factors, angle, and shadow color are customizable.

• Hard Shadow

  Adds a hard shadow effect on the text. The angle, distance factor, shadow color, and opacity are customizable.

• Inset Shadow

  Adds an inset shadow effect on the text. The angle, distance & blur factors, shadow color, and opacity are customizable.

• Double Shadow (previously called "Super Hero")

  Adds a double shadow effect on the text. The distance factor and angle are customizable.

• Embossed

  Adds an embossed effect on the text. The angle and distance factor are customizable.

• Embossed transparent

  Adds transparency and an embossed effect on the text. The angle and distance factor are customizable.

• Rotation

  Adds a rotation effect on the text. The angle to horizontal is customizable.

• Blur (previously called "Cloudy")

  Adds a blur effect on the text. The blur factor is customizable.

• Anaglyph

  Adds a Anaglyph 3D effect on the text. The blur & distance factors, angle, and blue & red colors are customizable.

• 3D

  Adds a 3D effect on the text. The distance factor and angle are customizable.

• Glow

  Adds a glow effect on the text. The glow factor and color are customizable.

• Neon Glow (previously called "Neon Light")

  Adds a neon glow effect on the text. The glow factor is customizable.

• Retro

  Adds a retro effect on the text. The distance factor and angle are customizable.

• Fire

  Adds an on-fire effect on the text. The glow factor and angle are customizable.

Configuration

The following properties, found under "Properties" tab of Edit panel, can be used to customize the widget:

• Text area

  Edit the text content layer on which the effect is applied. Click on the button to open the "Layer Properties" dialog.

• Angle, Angle to horizontal

  Enter the angle (positive or negative) at which the effect is applied.

• Distance factor

  Enter a positive number representing the distance factor at which the effect is applied.

• Blur factor, Glow factor

  Enter a positive number representing the blurring / glowing degree of the effect.

• Color, Color 1, Color 2, Shadow color

  Select the color(s) used for the text effect.

• Opacity

  Enter the shadow opacity degree from 0 (transparent) to 1 (fully opaque).
