Fusion:Backup and restore

This page is related to the Settings page of Fusion.

Fusion offers the possibility to do a full backup of the content - which can later be restored either on the same unit at a later time or on another device running Fusion.

Create a Backup

To create a Backup with Fusion, follow these steps:

1. Click on the "Settings" menu item.
2. Click on the "Backups" tab.
3. Under "New Backup", enter the name for the new backup.
4. Click on the "Create" button. A new backup will be created on the device.

Once done, you can download the Backup file onto your PC using the icon.

Note: The backup is created and stored on the device itself, so make sure that sufficient disk space is available. Otherwise, either remove some of the content or use an external storage.

Restore a Backup

To restore a Backup into Fusion, follow these steps:

1. Click on the "Settings" menu item.
2. Click on the "Backups" tab.
3. Click on the "Add" button.
4. Select the backup file on your local drive and confirm the upload.
5. Wait for the backup to be uploaded to the HMP.
6. Once done, select the backup to be restored and press the icon.

Note: Restoring a backup will replace all the content on the unit, including any Templates or Skins present on the device.
