By using an SMS gateway, an HMP could send or receive Short Message Service (SMS) transmissions to or from a telecommunication network.
For instance, the SMS Hardware Gateway from SMSEagle provides an easy-to-use HTTP API that allows retrieving the incoming SMS in CSV format simply by doing a GET call to a predefined URL. Then, the data can be displayed on the screen using one of the spreadsheet widgets.
