Power off the player

From SpinetiX Wiki
The player's power consumption is so low that it can be left running all the time - to save power, activate the display power saving because the display is consuming a lot more power than the player itself.

To safely disconnect the player from the power network, it is strongly recommended to follow these steps:

  1. Shut down the player, as described below.
    Note Warning:
Unplugging the player from the power network without a prior shutdown, especially in a repetitive manner, could cause content loss and/or hardware problems!
  2. Wait until the player has shut down completely - the power (PWR) LED is briefly blinking red once every two seconds.
  3. Unplug the power supply unit from the power network and/or the power supply cable from the player's power port.

The player can be shut down using one of the following methods:

Note Notes:
  • The player has shut down completely when there is no video signal on the displaying device and the power (PWR) LED is slowly blinking red.
  • After the player has been shut down, it can be started by briefly pressing its power button or by physically reconnecting it to the electrical network.
  • Players deal differently with high internal temperature – some models may automatically shut down in order to cool down. The device will automatically restart when the internal temperature in less than the threshold value.
