Description
The zip file contains only one file, Shared_Variable_Updater.html, that can be used to update Shared Variables using the legacy, unprotected, "update" endpoint. The script is built using only HTML and JavaScript code, thus it doesn't require to be served from a web server.
In order to use Shared_Variable_Updater.html file, follow these steps:
- Enable the Network API (disabled by default) on the player.
- On HMP400, HMP400W, and HMP350 devices with firmware 4.3.0 or above, make sure to activate the "Enable legacy unprotected server" option.
- Open the Shared_Variable_Updater.html file in a browser.
- Enter the HMP address (IP or hostname).
- If left empty, it will try to use the hostname of the server or "localhost".
- Enter / change the Shared Variable name.
- Enter the new value for the Shared Variable.
- Press the "Send update" button.
